When Heidi Montage underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, the Hills star kept her plans secret from friends – and even her family.

Now, nine weeks after her dramatic transformation, Montag is dealing with the horrified reaction of her mom, Darlene Egelhoff.

'Ugly Betty' CANCELED

Say goodbye to Betty Suarez and the stylish staff of Mode magazine. ABC announced Wednesday that Ugly Betty has been canceled.

"We've mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty's final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion," executive producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Steve McPherson said in a joint statement. "We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell."

Jennifer Lopez to Guest Star on How I Met Your Mother

Looks like Jenny From the Block will be making a pit stop at MacLaren’s Bar. CBS announced Wednesday that Jennifer Lopez will guest star in a March episode of How I Met Your Mother.

“We’re looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn’t seen since Regis Philbin guest starred,” series executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays says.

But don’t expect Lopez to show up in another nude cat suit anytime soon. According to a press release, she will play Anita Appleby, an outspoken self-help guru who makes it her mission to break caddish Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris) of his womanizing ways.

That sounds like corporate attire — think power suits and shoulder pads instead of sequined robes and Louboutins.

Will Ferrell Welcomes Third Son

Axel Ferrell arrived Saturday morning, Jan. 23, in Los Angeles, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively, adding, "All the Ferrells are well." Baby boy joins older brothers Magnus, 5 ½, and Mattias, 3.

Ferrell and Paulin, 40 – who met in an acting class 15 years ago and wed in 2000 – announced the pregnancy in September.

Ferrell, 42, will next appear in The Other Guys, set to be released in August.

Since various tabloids have had Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie breaking up since the day they got together, what's different about their latest fabled trip to splitsville?

Well, this time Jolie supposedly cheated on her bearded beau.

But while In touch Weekly is reporting the Oscar winner had an affair with the "dialect coach" she worked with for her upcoming spy thriller Salt, the film's resident dialect coach tells E! News the rumor couldn't be further from the truth.

And not just because he didn't even work with Jolie on Salt.

"Oh, my friends thought it was hysterical," said 51-year-old Howard Samuelsohn, whose credits include 2012 and Revolutionary Road. "I've had eight different reporters call me, and one was even outside my home."

He says that ITW contacted him last week, asking about the nature of his working relationship with Jolie.

"I said, 'Yes, I know her professionally. She's very nice.'...And then I immediately became the guy who slept with Angelina Jolie.

"I'm not a language coach," he explained. "She doesn't have a dialect in the movie; she speaks Russian. There were several people who taught her the language. I worked with a Polish actor, Daniel Olbrychski, on the movie to make his English better."

Plus, Samuelsohn added that he's been "with the same woman for 33 years."

Good lord, what would we do if Brangelina dared to last that long?!

Meanwhile, a rep for the Waldorf Astoria, where a housekeeper named Anna Kowalski supposedly told ITW she saw kinky evidence of the alleged tryst, has said that no such person works there.

But the magazine tells E! News that it's standing by its story, semantics aside, and that a source verified that Kowalski worked at the Waldorf over the summer.

"As In Touch Weekly originally reported, an ex-employee of the Waldorf-Astoria in New York told the magazine exclusively that Angelina Jolie cheated on Brad Pitt with one of her language tutors on the set of her movie Salt," a rep for ITW said in a statement, which modifies the job description of the purported lothario from the published text.

But perhaps this latest blip on the happy-couple radar will disappear soon. A source close to the couple tells E! News there is no split, and Hollywood life is reporting that Jolie and Pitt are planning on attending the Oscars. Together.

It looks like this on-again, off-again couple is back on!

Brian Austin Green tweeted Saturday that he is "engaged and [has] a son from [his] previous relationship", after a fan asked if he was married and had kids.

While Green gave no indication of when his bethrothal to Megan Fox was renewed, there had been a barrage of reports that the couple was on shaky ground after Fox reportedly called off their engagement in early 2009.

It seems that all is well again for the twosome, however. The former 90210 star also tweeted that he is with the 23-year-old raven-haired beauty in New Mexico while she films a movie.

Twins are Moving Out of Playboy Mansion

Is Hugh Hefner ready to be a one-woman man?

The Playboy mogul exclusively tells me that two of his three girlfriends, 20-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, are moving out of the legendary Mansion and into the neighboring Playmate House.

What happened?

Hef explains that while his relationship with girlfriend Crystal Harris has been getting "more serious," the twins have expressed a lot of interest in doing more Playmate-related promotional work for the company...

"They've been hanging out with a lot of the other Playmates and they see these girls traveling across the country to do promotion," he said. "They would like to be doing that, too."

In fact, Hefner, 83, said he was the one who initially suggested the move, which will take place within the next couple of weeks. "When they thought about it, they thought it was a good idea," he said, adding, "They will now be friends, but they won't be defined as the girlfriends."

As serious as things may be with 23-year-old Crystal, Hef says we shouldn't start listening for wedding bells. "I haven't had a lot of luck with marriage," he said. "I don't have a good track record and I don't want to screw this one up."

The twins' departure doesn't mean the end of Girls Next Door.

Hef says if his hit E! reality series gets picked up for another season, we'll not only see some of the twins work with the Playmates, but of course, "how my relationships are changing romantically and how that relates to Crystal."

Simon Cowell Confirms He's Leaving American Idol?!

Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol.

No, really. It's official now and everything.

Simon just told reporters at the TV Critics Assocation winter press tour:

"There's been a lot of speculation [about my future], partly because we didn't have an agreement. We reached an agreement formally about half past 11 this morning. Where we have come to is that The X Factor will launch in America in 2011, with me judging the show and executive producing the show, and because of that, this will be my last season on American Idol this year."

Cowell then signed his X-Factor contract live onstage at press tour. So why is he leaving and who might replace him? Here's what we just learned from Cowell himself and his bosses at Fox...

First things first, The X Factor is a British-format reality talent competition produced and developed by...Simon Cowell! There are 17 international versions. It's not unlike American Idol or its British counterpart Pop Idol, but contestants of all ages are welcome, and the judges also do some mentoring as well as just critiquing. So what kind of stars are they trying to find? Simon says, "Right now, Lady Gaga's got the biggest X factor in the world. We'd love to find somebody like her." The X Factor will air in the fall, while Idol will continue airing in the spring.

That's in Simon Cowell's future, but what about his past and present on American Idol? "I've always said this was my last year," Simon told us. "Everyone thought I was negotiating, but that wasn't the reason behind it. I felt like doing something different. I like the challenge. I want to leave Idol this year, bigger and better than it’s been before...I hope it's going to be higher than it was last year."

He says he's leaving now while the show remains on top: "I've had the best eight or nine years of my life doing this job...I never would have wanted to walk out when the show was number 21 in the ratings. I wanted to leave on a high. It's been a fantastic time.. I think right now America needs a second, different type of show, and I'm going to put my absolute heart and soul into this."

So who might take Simon's chair at the Idol judging table? Cowell's take is this: "I'm going to suggest that Ryan [Seacrest] does it, because he can have another job then—so he just jumps off the stage into the chair and back again...I say just get somebody who knows what they're talking about."

Fox entertainment chairman Peter Rice took a more serious approach to the question, but didn't actually profer any substantial names: "The reason we're making the announcement in January is we want to give ourselves time. We want to allow people to come forward, we were frankly surprised at the enthusiasm in replacing Paula [Abdul]—and when we we first started our conversations with Ellen [DeGeneres]. We have to take our time on that, we have to make sure the chemistry is as good as it can be, we want to take our time."

Oh Snap! Angelina Jolie Kicked out!

will no longer be the face of St. John, the brand’s chief executive officer says.

Replacing Ang is British model Karen Elson (pictured), who will provide a more modern view of St. John, CEO Glenn McMahon told.

“[Angelina] overshadowed the brand,” Glenn explained. “We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette.”

A company insider now tells E! News that Jolie had only signed a three-year contract, which was up in 2008 and that "St. John has maintained a friendly, positive relationship with Angelina Jolie throughout the years."
